Élève is the music project of João Ritter. Born in Brazil, João grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and is currently a first-year student at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.

His compositions piece together a series of acoustic guitar, orchestral, and synthetic sounds to create a mysterious and surreal setting.
